We are so happy Kaitlyn has finally started riding a two wheeler. We have spent this last year trying off and on, and finally this summer she did it!! It has much easier on our family bike rides, that's for sure. Great Job, Kailtyn- we are proud of you.

Just Me and My Dad

So, I am finally posting a tribute to Kyle for Father's Day!! I know, it's very late. We had a great Father's Day, riding bikes together, playing basketball, and opening gifts. We love our dad, and had fun celebrating him. Thanks for being a great father, Kyle.

Summer's Here!!!

The girls had some friends over to run through the sprinklers today, and ended up on the tramp instead. Doesn't that look fun.....Oh, to be young again. I'm sure we'll be doing this a lot over the next couple of months. I'll see if I can't get some better pictures, maybe some poses in the air!

And Now the Fun Begins....

It is all fun and games from now on in the 5th grade (with 2 1/2 days left)......the past couple of weeks I can not believe how many reports/projects Bryce has had to do. First, as always every month, a lengthy book report, within 2 weeks after that, he had to do an page (front and back)for a newspaper with 7 different articles about the Civil War, then one week later he had another Civil War project due that had 5 different parts to it- choices were either making a movie, mapping out the war in detail, dioramas, or even writing your own story about the war, and many more choices. Then during this time at school they were writing Fables, and creating plays out them in groups of 4-5 kids. It was fun to watch, they got to make masks for the play also, and it was quite the production. If I can get it to work, I'll try to add that play to our blog. This will prepare him for many more reports/projects in the years to come. He has done a great job, and has worked very hard- Now he is off to conquer Middle School!

You've Got Mail

This is Eryn's mailbox. She created this so I can leave her mail at night. Thank goodness not every night, but maybe once a week- which keeps it fun and exciting. She will set up her mailbox at night, then when I'm tucking her into bed she will remind me to write her a letter before I go to bed. Of course that is the first thing she will ask when I'm getting her up in the morning- "Did you put a letter in my mailbox?" I'll always add one in for Kaitlyn too, although Eryn did tell me that I can leave hers next to the mailbox, and not in it since it is not hers. I put both of them in anyways, she finally said that was okay since they do share a room. I thought I should take a picture of this so as time goes by and when she forgets, and we stop doing these fun little things, we can always come back and reminisce. Childhood is wonderful, it makes me wonder.....what kind cute things did I do when I was growing up? I do love writing them letters, it lets me tell them how special they are, and how grateful I am to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with sweet daughters.

Mini Me??

Do we see future dancers like their mom once was? Here is Kaitlyn and Eryn in their costumes. Kaitlyn danced to Jailhouse Rock. (I think every dancer has danced to that song one time in thier childhood) It was very cute, she had a great year in dance. Eryn danced two separate dances, one was a lyrical and one a jazz. Unfortunately I did not get an individual picture of Eryn in her costumes. I'm going to make her dress up again, so I can get pictures! Eryn got petty bored with ballet throughout the year, but loved the jazz. That should not surprise anyone who knows Eryn!
